Comparing my temperature graph to my population map I can see that pintails can stand cold weather but are no fond to harsher cold.

Banding is important to us because it can give us information on birds including migration, distribution, and much more. Migration used to be a mystery until somebody started banding birds with a return address and a number. This uncapped many secrets of birds migration. When we put bands on ducks we discovered four different flyways Central, Pacific, Mississippi, and Atlantic. Banding also held with conservation efforts so we can figure out populations and set laws. Hunting regulations are made by banding waterfowl so we can figure out there populations and the flyways they use.
